I love love love AthleanX. This program helped me separate myths from facts and provided an overall foundation for fitness success. It is super easy to become distracted, lost, and frustrated with all of the noise on the Internet today. If you’re like me, you’re just looking for answers after years of frustration and reading contradictory articles and reports.

Who Is Jeff Cavaliere?
According to his site, “Jeff Cavaliere MSPT, CSCS served as both the Head Physical Therapist and Assistant Strength Coach for the New York Mets during the National League East Championships 2006, 2007, and 2008 seasons and coached some of the game’s most accomplished players including future hall of fame pitchers Tom Glavine and Pedro Martinez, and perennial all-stars Carlos Delgado, Carlos Beltran, David Wright, Jose Reyes, and Billy Wagner to name just a few. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
Recently, on his YouTube channel, he’s helped WWE superstars Shaemus and Jinder Mahal as well as NFL’s Antonio Brown. He’s got over 6.1M subscribers on his channel!
As you may have already guessed it, I have done a few iterations of AthleanX. As a member of the military, I find that this program plays a huge part in preparing me and keeping me in great shape for the physical fitness tests. Some will say that in order to become good at doing pushups, do more pushups. While there is truth in that, I would say that in order to become good at doing pushups, you also need a foundation of strength that will help your overall performance.
The programs go much further than doing three sets of ten bench presses. The exercises within the program incorporate a large portion of the core, therefore, increasing your overall stability and strength. It is important to note that there are many programs to choose from. I would recommend starting with the basic program, AthleanX-1 and work your way to AthleanX-2.
AthleanX vs Others
AthleanX wasn’t the first 90-day program I’ve tried. I have tried Muscle Prodigy, Bodybuilding.com, Body for Life, P90X, and my own. What separates AthleanX apart from those programs is the amount of demonstration and support that goes along with the program. The program itself is web-based, allowing you to log in, view the day’s workout, watch the day’s walk-through video, watch a demonstration video for unfamiliar exercises, and learn the why behind what you are doing. The other programs didn’t do that. P90X was fine the first time, but after watching the video for the 10th time, the jokes aren’t funny. With AthleanX, there videos are unique for each day in the program.
